Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe
Herzlich Willkommen!
Christina, Linda and I are delighted to welcome you to Hollerbach’s – the place where Gemütlichkeithappens in the Historic District of downtown Sanford, Florida.
Linda and I first started thinking of opening our own restaurant in 1981 while we were working together at a German restaurant in Orlando; after two decades of hard work and planning, the Willow Tree dream became reality on August 1, 2001 with just seven employees. Since then, we’ve continually expanded the restaurant, added two new businesses, and grown our staff to over 90 employees. It’s hard to believe we’ve been here over 16 years!
One source of continuing inspiration for us has been watching our adopted home of downtown Sanford grow and thrive along with our own businesses. The sense of community and desire to prosper and continue cultivating downtown Sanford’s status as a top dining and entertainment destination in central Florida that we share with our neighbors and fellow business owners is stronger now than ever, and we want to thank the residents of downtown Sanford and our business neighbors for letting us be a contributing partner in making our town great.
Our top priority has always been and will remain to provide our guests with an authentic, high-quality, memorable experience at our Willow Tree Café German restaurant, Magnolia Square Market true German deli, and Outfitters costume and jewelry shop.
We encourage you to enjoy our hospitality, and we welcome you into our family. – Theo

I like going here, especially because one of my closest friends can only have gluten-free/vegan food and Hollerbach’s offers just that in your traditional Bavarian style. Their menu is HUGE and it educates you on German culture, German food, and the story behind Hollerbach’s.
I love getting their large pretzel for a starter. It comes with sweet mustard and “obazda,” a cream-cheese-like spread that has notes of beer and sweet paprika. It pairs well with a beer which, as you can imagine, is highly renowned at this place.
Overall, Hollerbach’s is a great contributor to the Sanford community, hosting Oktoberfest and flooding the streets with the sound of laughter and traditional German music. I SO appreciate this place’s presence in the downtown area and smile to myself whenever I see it thriving on a weekend night.
Hollerbach’s is a large Bavarian restaurant serving German classics such as schnitzel, beer in a boot, and wurst. They’re renowned for their Oktoberfest during which Hollerbach festivities spill into Magnolia Square and bring the community together in a celebration of German beer culture.
