We’re excited to announce the grand opening of Sunshine State Threads at the Sanfording Station, a retail store opening up in “The Famous L” of Historic Downtown Sanford featuring some awesome t-shirts and caps made by Sunshine State Threads, a new screen printing shop housed at the same location.
You’ll not only find some fresh new designs showcasing some local favorites like The Bokey T or #Sanfording shirts but also there’s an inventory of popular past events such as The Pints n Paws Craft Beer Festival as well as t-shirts from other local bars.
In addition, you’ll now be able to rent a golf cart from Sanford Golf Cart Rentals right at the counter and tickets to future events.
Paul Williams, owner of The West End Trading Co. and Celery City Craft along with partner Ben Bates are the team behind this new retail initiative and both are excited to bring this new venture to Sanford. “Before I was in the bar business, I was actually in the sports merchandise industry and launching this project, it has all come full circle for me and I couldn’t be happier to bring this to the community.” said Williams.
Sunshine State Threads has already partnered with a few non-profits helping them fundraise with t-shirt sales with much success such as The Stokes Fish Market T promoted by The Sanford Historic Trust or the ‘You Bet Gir-Affe I Support the Zoo’ T to help raise funds for our beloved Zoo.
Opening just in time for Back-to-School, Sunshine State Threads also makes some cool designs for the little Sanfording’ers in our lives. For the grand opening on August 8th the first 100 customers will receive a free t-shirt, there’ll be some live printing, fun shop games, spin the wheel to win some free merch and discounts!
Located at 307 E. 2nd St, next to West End Trading Co. it is open 10am-6pm, Monday-Saturday.
